Leadership Development Program (LDP) – Unlock Your Potential!
Are you ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is an exciting, hands-on, and immersive two-week experience designed to shape the next generation of confident, capable leaders—both at camp and beyond!
Through dynamic daily sessions, LDP participants will dive into team-building challenges, personal growth activities, and leadership training, all while enjoying the best that camp has to offer. Whether you’re guiding a group, solving problems on the fly, or reflecting on your strengths, this program will push you to grow, lead, and inspire.
The LDP focuses on self-reliance, teamwork, and innovation, helping teens become stronger communicators, problem-solvers, and role models—all while having a blast in a supportive, high-energy environment!

Counselor in Training
Age 17
Lead, Inspire, and Make an Impact!
Are you ready to take your camp experience to the next level? The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is an exciting, fast-paced, and immersive three-week journey designed for teens eager to grow as leaders, build confidence, and prepare for future camp staff roles!
Throughout this adventure, CITs will dive into hands-on leadership training, team-building challenges, and essential childcare skills, all while learning the behind-the-scenes magic that makes camp unforgettable. From shadowing experienced counselors in different activity areas to learning conflict resolution and group management, CITs will gain real-world experience in a fun, supportive environment.
The grand finale? An action-packed week of cabin living, where CITs step into leadership roles, working alongside counselors to guide and inspire younger campers. This isn’t just training—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact, form incredible friendships, and set yourself up for future success as a camp leader!

Expedition
Ages 13-16
Do you sleep under the stars every night? Eat a homemade meal over a campfire? Explore parts of camp that have never been explored before? Create and Build projects that you could only think of?
Expeditioners is a new program being introduced to YMCA Storer Camps!
This program is for Co-ed Campers ages 13-16 who are interested in everything outdoors, living the true rustic lifestyle of camp and the beautiful surroundings of Storer Camps.
During the week, Campers will learn wilderness skills with lessons of fire building,shelter building, cooking on an open flame, orienteering, working as part of a team to explore even the outer limits of camp. Expeditioners will use the “Leave no trace” ethic while at camp to minimize impacts to the outdoor environment.
Financial Assistance is available for all Summer Camp programs and is awarded on a case by case basis. There are two options for registering and applying for Financial Assistance.
1) Register online through CampMinder. When registering, select “I’m applying for Financial Assistance” when selecting a pricing tier. You will be charged a $25 deposit and ensure your camper’s space is held in their preferred program. After registration, you will be sent the Financial Assistance application via email. Upon review, you will be notified of your financial assistance determination.
2) Download and return the Financial Assistance application. Upon review, you will be notified of your financial assistance determination. Your camper will then be enrolled into their camp session(s). Please note that some sessions have limited space, and your camper may be put on a waiting list if filling out the application before registration.
