Overnight Camp: Ages 7 – 15

Camp Catch-A-Rainbow offers a fun-filled, action-packed one-week camp experience designed for children ages 7-15. This program combines traditional summer camp activities with exciting special events to ensure every child has a memorable summer!

Program Highlights:

  • Traditional Camp Activities: Enjoy swimming, sports, arts & crafts, nature hikes, and more.

  • Special Events: Campers will participate in an afternoon carnival and have exciting visits from special guests!

  • Experienced and Caring Staff: Our dedicated team of YMCA staff and volunteers, all 18 years and older and background checked, are there to provide guidance, safety, and support throughout the week.

This program offers a perfect balance of fun, adventure, and personal growth, all while creating lasting memories with new friends!

Experience all the excitement of overnight camp in just one day! Our One-Day Camp is designed specifically for children ages 4-8, offering a fun and memorable introduction to the camp experience.

Program Highlights:

  • Arts & Crafts: Get creative and make something special to take home.

  • Pony Rides: Meet and ride our friendly ponies for a one-of-a-kind experience.

  • Swimming: Cool off with a refreshing swim in our camp pool.

  • And More: Enjoy a variety of exciting activities throughout the day!

At the end of the day, every camper receives a Certificate of Accomplishment to celebrate their achievements. To make the day even more special, families are invited to join the overnight campers for dinner, creating a fun and memorable evening for everyone.

Our Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program is designed to equip teens with valuable life skills that can be applied both at camp and beyond. This advanced program offers hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, and camp programming.

Program Highlights:

  • Leadership Development: Participate in daily workshops to build essential skills for leadership and personal growth.

  • Camp Staff Experience: Interview with camp staff and volunteers to gain insight into the responsibilities of running a camp.

  • Programming Planning: Work alongside staff to help plan and organize exciting camp activities and events.

How to Apply:
Interested teens must complete an application and undergo an interview process. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

This is a fantastic opportunity for teens to grow, develop new skills, and take on leadership roles at camp!

Medical Care

A Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Physician and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurse direct a well-equipped health center to ensure that each camper will have proper care in case of an accident or illness. Additionally, there are medical professionals (physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse) assigned to each cabin, 24 hours a day, to meet the medical needs of each camper. The medical professionals will administer general medications, chemotherapy as needed, take blood counts and coordinate any special dietary needs. More complicated needs such as blood transfusions are coordinated between the Medical Director and Nursing Director and a camper’s “home” hematologist/oncologist and parents. Camp Catch-A-Rainbow partners with Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI for these more complicated medical needs.
