Active Older Adult Special Events
Our Active Older Adult (AOA) programs are designed for men and women in their 50’s and older. Each YMCA of Greater Toledo branch offers different programming, promoting fitness and well-being while fostering friendships and camaraderie. Check the branch nearest you for current information. Branches of the YMCA of Greater Toledo offer SilverSneakers®, Silver & Fit®, and Renew Active®.
577 Foundation Tour
577 is a nonprofit community arts and nature center situated on the former estate of our founder, Virginia Secor Stranahan. Open to all, 577 builds a creative, caring community through curiosity and lifelong learning. This enduring passion extends to all facets of 577; from ecological balance and environmental sustainability, to broadening minds, stimulating imagination and expanding horizons.
Enjoy a general guided tour of the grounds and what they have going on at 577 led by Horticulture staff. After the tour, we can have some snacks and refreshments at the picnic tables around the grounds!

Explore the Treehouses
Come out for a guided tour of our Toledo Metro Parks Treehouses at Oak Openings! The Cannaley Treehouse Village is the only public treehouse village in the country, creating an experience that is truly one-of-a-kind. Treehouse Village includes one six-person, one ADA six-person, one ADA four-person and two-person treehouses plus three raised platforms attached to trees for tent and hammock camping. An area for group gathering around a campfire, connecting boardwalks, a canopy bridge and a crow’s nest complete the charming village in the trees.

Frankenmuth Bus Trip
Spend the day in Frankenmuth, Michigan with your friends exploring, shopping and eating. The trip will include lunch at Zenders, downtown shopping, Bronners Christmas Store and the St. Julian Winery.
